3. Financing the relocation

The major elements of cost cover the following:

The Pitches
The pitches were paid for by the Environmental Agency. We do not know their cost. They should be ready for use for the start of the 2023 season.

The Clubhouse

The Environmental Agency has provided roughly £1.2 million towards the cost of the construction of a new clubhouse. Working with our architects and a quantitative surveyor, the fully costed proposal comes to £1.45 million. This leaves a gap of £250k.

Other facilities

Other facilities that need to be built include:

  • Artificial nets
  • An artificial wicket on the second pitch
  • New Equipment for the maintenance of the ground
  • Nets and fencing around the perimeter to shield roads and neighbours
  • Upgraded training equipment such as bowling machines
  • Tarmac parking area
  • Renewable energy sources

Approach to fund raising

Our primary approach will be to funding bodies such passport England, the ECB and charitable or philanthropic organisations for monies in excess of £5k.

Options

In the case that fund raising the entire amount take longer than 12 months then we shall seek to delay components of the plan until either the money has been raised, or, the new income from the new facility becomes available. Such delays might include:

  • The artificial wicket
  • Tarmac parking
  • Perimeter netting
  • Renewable energy sources
