The summer season is beckoning and the BSCC women’s side are ready for action, riding high on their winter league success!
With only one point between BSCC and league champions BSCC Jurassic team finished second in the Devon’s women’s softball league with our Otters team only 3 points behind in 4th place!
Jurassic captain Charlotte Taylor said: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic indoor league against some very competitive opposition seeing us win 6 out of 8 games with all players making valuable contributions. It’s been great to see the team develop and learn new skills which we will take forward into the summer season ahead.”
Otters captain Hannah Bolwell said: “Otters start of the winter league off a little rocky but it was great to see some new faces in the team. The ladies were very keen to train during the week which really showed when we played our last 4 fixtures. We had some great overall performances and was lovely to see new players making a difference with some great wickets when bowling and some brilliant catches in the field.
The Ladies won 3 games and lost 3 games, finishing mid table.
We are all looking forward to the season ahead with lots of training and matches in the sun!”
